ITV Emmerdale fans 'work out' villager dies - and it's Cain Dingle's fault

Emmerdale fans seem to think there is more to Nate Robinson's (played by Jurell Carter) exit from the ITV soap - and that he could have died from internal injuries.

Before he mysteriously left the village to move to Shetland, Nate was attacked by his dad, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) after he discovered that his son and wife Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) had kissed.

Despite protesting his innocence, Cain saw red and punched Nate in a fit of rage. Nate's ex, Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) also seemed to wash her hands of him after she considered moving to Shetland with their daughter to try and salvage their marriage.

After losing everything, Nate seemed to leave the village without even saying goodbye to anyone - other than newcomer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).

However, fans have grown suspicious of John and whether he had something to do with Nate's departure, with some even thinking the newcomer has either kidnapped or killed him.

Taking to a Facebook fan page, one fan seems to think Nate did die, and that it was his dad's fault. They wrote: "I wonder if Nate dies from internal bleeding instead of being involved with the barn fire."

Another replied: "Cain will be devastated if he dies, what will that do to him?"

A third suggested: "Maybe that's why he leaves for a while? Tracy saw him beat up Nate so I suppose he could be sent to prison if Nate dies?"

"He's leaving so could be locked up," someone else responded while a fifth said: "I wondered about internal bleeding when he was holding his side."

One theorised: "Nate dies, Cain wracked with guilt when Moita's diagnosis comes out, brain tumour which could be causing her to act the way she was. Cain leaves as he can't stand to see wee Frankie without her daddy."

In scenes that aired last week, Cain shared his regret over Nate's departure after he discovered his wife had a brain tumour and would need life-changing surgery.

At first, the farmer was dead against having the operation and hoped medication would stop her seizures, but after suffering from another one in front of their son, Moira decided she needed to have the operation.

As for Nate, he has barely been mentioned, but when Tracy quizzed John about his whereabouts, he seemed to act suspicious.

"He wasn't there, he left before it happened, he mentioned Shetland," John explained as Tracy asked him about the barn fire, which almost took the lives of Moira and Ruby Milligan (Beth Cordingly).

"Yeah, I knew he was going there, I just thought I might have seen him before he took off," Tracy said, shocked that Nate never said goodbye.

"I am sorry," John replied as Tracy questioned: "It's not your fault, is it?"

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
