Emmerdale fans 'crying' as 'amazing' character to return to soap
Emmerdale fans have shared their joy as the soap appeared to share that an "amazing" character is coming back to the long-running soap. Vinny Dingle actor Bradley Johnson took over the ITV show's official Instagram account on Tuesday as he filmed himself wandering around the studio trying to find the mystery villager set for a return.
Bradley told fans of the soap: "A little birdie told me that somebody is coming back to Emmerdale and they're in the building today, but nobody is telling me who it is. So I think I'm going to make it my mission to go find them and give them a massive Emmerdale welcome".
Social media users were then taken on a journey around the set and behind the scenes, as Bradley desperately tried to locate the character. He went to the Emmerdale press office, but was told "Bradley we're not going to tell you".

He then went to find any new names in the dressing room, but he had no luck there either, and also couldn't work it out from the soap's costume department. As the clip wound to an end, Bradley apologised to viewers and said: "I've failed you", and as he did Ross Barton actor Michael Parr could be seen peering over his shoulder.
Captioning the update, Emmerdale bosses said: "Brad's on the hunt for a returning cast member... but who is it?!" Fans have gone wild in the comments section, as Grace said: "No I'm crying actual tears, I called his return months ago".
Jill said: "Arghhhhhhhhh Ross omg fantastic" and Lauren said: "YES! The most amazing character". Danielle said: "ROSSSSSSSS OH MY GODDDD EMMERDALE YOU HAVE DONE AMAZINGLY WITH THIS ONE" [sic]. Ross left Emmerdale in 2018 with Rebecca White and her son Sebastian White, with the pair moving to Liverpool. Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX
