Emmerdale fans distracted by same detail as villagers reunite after more than 10 years

Emmerdale aired a Miligan family reunion on Monday (November 18) but it wasn't a happy occasion.

Steph Milligan (Georgia Jay) recently turned up in the village seeking her inheritance money left to her by late grandmother Helen Fox (Sharon Maughan). But while businessman Caleb (William Ash) was aware Steph was lurking around, his wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly) had no idea that her estranged daughter was back - until now.

The dramatic reunion kicked off when Steph agreed to have coffee with her dad at her parents' house while she figured out when she would be getting her cash. Caleb was nervous as he fired questions at Steph, and asked if she had read the letters he had sent her over the years.

Steph was reluctant to open up about her past but the conversation took a turn when Ruby walked through the door and saw her daughter for the first time in more than 10 years.

Ruby demanded answers from Steph but it turned into a full blown row. Soon Steph starts accusing Ruby of never loving her, being cold towards her and packing her off to a boarding school she hated when she needed her the most.

Ruby tried to explain her reasons, telling Steph that after she stole a car at 14 years old she needed some discipline in her life. However, her words fall on deaf ears and the pair argue, which ends in Ruby lashing out and slapping her daughter.

Despite the bitter family reunion and the drama that followed, Emmerdale fans were left distracted as Ruby star Beth Cordingly and Steph actor Georgia Jay look like "twins".

Taking to X, one person wrote: "Emmerdale ATE with the casting of Steph, she looks soooooo similar to Ruby #emmerdale."

A second stated: "A second stated: "Steph and Ruby are so alike #emmerdale", while a third chimed in: "Ruby and Steph are so alike!! #Emmerdale."

"They have absolutely nailed the casting of Steph as Ruby’s daughter. #Emmerdale", added one viewer.

"Gotta say the casting team got it spot on with Steph, she’s like Ruby's twin #Emmerdale", stated another.
