Emmerdale fans face weeks of schedule changes

Emmerdale fans are facing a summer of schedule changes.

This comes because of ITV broadcasting more football. Over the next few weeks, we’ll see action from the men’s European Championships aired across ITV’s channels.

The first change coming for Emmerdale fans will be on Friday, June 14. Emmerdale is not listed for ITV1 because of the broadcast of the opening match of Euro 2024.

Hosts Germany playing Scotland has seen Emmerdale and fellow ITV programme Coronation Street removed for the TV schedules. This will be the first of many occasions the football will take priority over the soaps this summer.

You can see the expected changes to the TV schedules below:

  • Friday, June 14 - No Emmerdale or Coronation Street

  • Monday, June 17 - No Emmerdale or Coronation Street

  • Thursday, June 20 - No Emmerdale

On Tuesday, June 18 there will be hour-long editions of Emmerdale and Coronation Street aired. We will bring you further details of changes to the Emmerdale schedule when we know more.
