Emmerdale fans finally 'work out' who kills Tom King as double exit confirmed

Emmerdale fans are convinced Tom King (played by James Chase) will be killed off by his new girlfriend Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) in a chilling murder plot.

As fans of the ITV show will know, evil Tom has been abusing his estranged wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) for months, including both emotional and violent acts against her.

When Belle finally broke free of their marriage, her torment didn't stop as Tom vowed to never let her be free. The vet then started a relationship with Amelia to make Belle jealous and portray himself as the perfect partner, and not an abuser.

After going to the police about Tom's abuse, Belle is now hoping evidence of his controlling behaviour crops up on his damaged iPad - or she could face conviction for hitting him with an axe despite it being in self-defense.

But while the police continue their investigation, some Emmerdale fans are predicting love-struck Amelia will be the one to bring Tom down and put an end to his reign of terror.

Actress Daisy Campbell has been confirmed to bow out of the ITV soap as Amelia, along with James Chase who plays Tom. But are their exits linked? Some viewers think so.

Taking to Reddit, one Emmerdale fan wrote: "I think I know what happens with Tom, or maybe it's just what I hope happens. I don't have all of the details worked out, but Tom will finally attack either Belle or Amelia.

"Amelia will strike back and kill Tom. Afterward, Amelia will be convicted and sent to prison. Two people are gone in one incident. It ends Tom and Belle's story, and gets rid of Amelia while technically leaving the door open."

A second chimed in: "Also, leaving Esther for Sam and Lydia to raise", while a third quipped: "I suppose it leave things open for another Vinny style storyline in 20 years…!"

Another predicted: "Amelia must kill Tom, right? Because the other option would be Tom killing Amelia and that feels weird/cruel after the episode where Belle imagined him killing her."

They added: "Also I can't think of another reason why Amelia would be written out if she wasn't killed or sent to prison," added another.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm.
