Pandemonium ensues in the prison as guards declare a 'code red' in Tom King's cell. Soon, news reaches Belle Dingle that Tom has been rushed to hospital after attempting suicide. With Tom due in court, everyone wonders if the case will proceed.
As Belle's distress causes her to spiral, her family tries their best to support her. However, Belle fears having Tom's death on her conscience and starts questioning whether she can cope with this.
As Belle seeks advice from her uncle Paddy about Tom and his suicide attempt, will Paddy provide the reassurance she needs or could he add to her confusion?
Charity Dingle, always persistent, manages to sneak into Tom's hospital room for an unexpected visit. Tom is taken aback by her sudden appearance, but when Charity pushes him to confess that he faked his suicide to disrupt the court and Belle's testimony, Tom suddenly sees things clearly.

Before long, early in the morning on the day of the court case, Belle leaves a cryptic note for her family before quietly leaving the Dingles. Meanwhile, in his hospital room, a self-satisfied Tom gets ready to give his best performance in court.
Realising they need to locate Belle, the Dingles spring into action, but are soon stunned when the prosecution barrister concedes that without Belle, they may struggle to secure a conviction.
Ollie informs Tom that Belle hasn't arrived at court and Tom is pleased to see the results of his efforts, as the jury gathers for the trial. Tom is triumphant as he prepares to take centre stage....

This leaves Dawn conflicted as she considers what's best for her family. Back at Home Farm, things are looking bleak for scheming Will when Kim reveals that not only are Dawn and the kids attending the vow renewal, but they're also considering moving back in.
Billy and Dawn are taken aback when Jai requests them to vacate Holdgate within the week. Dawn is irritated as Billy declines to return to Home Farm despite their precarious situation.
