Yahoo News Emmerdale lovers Harriet and Cain get caught out
Emmerdale's Harriet Finch and Cain Dingle are caught out next week as their secret fling continues.
The pair have recently been seeing each other in secret, in one of the most unlikely romances the ITV soap has brought us for a while.
Next week's episodes see Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton) get excited as she prepares for a night away with the village's bad boy – still unable to resist his charms.
The only problem is that pesky Emma Barton is hogging Harriet's attention at the church just when she's trying to get away, which couldn't be worse timing.
Reacting to the problem in true Dingle style, Cain plays a hilarious prank on Emma by locking her in the church cupboard to get her out of the way for a while.
Harriet takes pity on Emma by letting her out, but she can't help being amused by Cain's naughty behaviour.
When the comedy hi-jinks lead to another steamy kiss between the pair, it's clear that Harriet is loving every minute of her new relationship, but it may be a risk too far as she's forgotten that the vestry curtain isn't closed and someone ends up seeing them.
Will Emma be the one who catches Harriet and Cain in the act, or could another eagle-eyed villager be about to get involved in this storyline?
Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain, recently explained: "When I first heard it was going to be the vicar, I thought it was an odd coupling, but when the scripts came, you could see the dynamic between them. It really works and it's quite fun and it's quite cheeky. I think it's an interesting dalliance.
"He admires her and suddenly finds her quite an interesting person to deal with. I think it becomes a challenge or a game for him. He thinks, 'A reverend? Mmm.. This could be quite interesting!' He is a trier and God loves a trier."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
