Next week on 'Emmerdale': Meena is killed off? Shock death as survival event becomes a nightmare (spoilers)

In a do-not-miss batch of episodes set to shown between the 18 and 22 October 2021, viewers will see a survival event that’s been organised by Priya and Ellis spiral out of control in a major way.

Meena is, of course, intent on murdering her love rival Victoria. But the week begins with the flashforward image of Meena herself lying motionless in the middle of a maze. So, has the village’s latest deranged killer met her maker?

The fight for life

The survival challenge begins with everyone in high spirits as the participants enthusiastically jump into their boats and set off down the river. All seems to be progressing as planned, with Billy and Ben seen trying to rally their respective team members.

But it isn’t long before events take a shock turn that puts everyone involved in peril. But with the elements against them and menacing waters fast approaching, what starts out as a friendly race quickly becomes a battle to survive…

So, will Meena kill Victoria?

Well, naturally, Meena is on the scene plotting Victoria’s downfall. But having doctored Vic’s harness, Meena can only watch on in horror as her sister Manpreet takes ownership of it. But at the event itself, Victoria will be in big danger when she’s thrown into turbulent waters.

Taking advantage of the situation, Meena ends up covertly holding Victoria’s lifeless body under the water. But someone is watching from afar and, wanting to find out what they’ve seen, Meena decides to follow them into the maze, where the survival challenge prize is set to be presented. In single-minded pursuit of her prey, murderous Meena is ready to kill whoever gets in her way…

And who else is involved?

David, Manpreet, Andrea and Charles are also featuring prominently, with many struggling to stay afloat, and the village vicar looking to be the one who’s left most badly injured.

Fellow participants Marlon and Paddy, meanwhile, are out in the surrounding woodland, where their frustrations with each other boil to the surface.

Elsewhere, Charity and Mack separate themselves from their respective groups in order to cheat. But Mack is set to hear a loud yell coming from the edge of a pond – and when he approaches the water, he sees a large ripple across the surface, all of which suggests that Charity has disappeared into the depths.

Finally, an unsuspecting Priya and Ellis head off for some cheeky fun in the woods. And after their shared moment of passion, Priya heads off to present the survival challenge prize at the maze. So might she end up falling victim to Meena after being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

All we can say for now is that lives are hanging in the balance during Thursday’s double bill, with the village set to be left in a state of shock when tragedy strikes. Someone is about to die, but who?
