Yahoo News Emmerdale revenge outcome sees Megan get dumped
Emmerdale's Megan Macey has been dumped by Frank Clayton as a result of her twisted revenge plan.
Frank (Michael Praed) was arrested this week following some elaborate scheming from Megan and Charity, who wanted to frame him for fraud.
Although Megan (Gaynor Faye) had already lost her appetite for revenge, she was powerless to stop Charity from going ahead with their masterplan – leading to Frank being hauled in for questioning.
Friday's Emmerdale episode saw Megan do the right thing by trying to clear Frank's name, although she did try to do it without implicating herself too much, claiming that it was all an innocent misunderstanding.
Although it seemed touch and go over whether Megan would be believed or not, the police later released Frank without charge.
Unsurprisingly, there was no happy romantic reunion when Frank returned to the village, as he gave Megan some harsh home truths over the way she'd treated him. Publicly at The Woolpack, no less.
He told her: "Let's not get into this. I hurt you, you paid me back more than I deserved. You did me two favours. You showed me the kind of person you really are before I was in too deep, and you showed me how much my girls believe in me. And that alone was worth a night in custody."
Ouch!
Next week, we'll see the sniping stop as Megan and Frank meet up to discuss their relationship, but although they're both regretful, they're unable to say the right things to each other to make it work. Is it really the end for them?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
