Emmerdale spoilers: Liam cheats on Leyla with Bernice, Amelia and Noah get together

Dr Cavanagh strays on Emmerdale next week, but will he come clean? Plus Amelia kisses Noah following bust-up with Dan.

Liam shares a kiss with Bernice

It’s fair to say that Liam’s marriage to Leyla has seen more than its fair share of tumult, what with the murder of the GP’s daughter and his new bride’s spiralling secret drug addiction. But, in the week to come, it’s Liam who’ll be indulging in a spot of subterfuge after he gets too close for comfort with Bernice.

What we’ll witness is Liam offloading to Bernice about the state of his marriage. But when thoughts of their own relationship resurface, Liam ends up kissing his shocked confidante. For her part, Bernice will be seen insisting that Leyla be told about the impromptu snog. But will he decide to do so?

Will Leyla find out?

During a subsequent embrace with Leyla, Liam ultimately opts to backtrack and not reveal all about what went on with Bernice in the hope that, in keeping silent, he can get his marriage back on track. But as an emotional Leyla agrees, Bernice just happens to be watching on from afar – and is left with the impression that Liam has come clean.

So just imagine Leyla’s surprise when an oblivious Bernice later mentions her and Liam’s recent kiss. Will this unfortunate admission have big repercussions?

Dan pushes Amelia into the arms of Noah

There’s confusion for Dan when Harriet acts in a flirtatious manner around him. Might she like him after all? Well, it seems so when the village copper finally kisses Dan – although in the aftermath, she’s left underwhelmed by the experience.

However, after Harriet has a heart to heart with Faith, she surprises a gobsmacked Dan by telling him that she wants to commit to a relationship with him!

After she discovers all about this development, Amelia expresses her happiness for the two of them, but it’s obvious she’s still disconsolate about Noah. And when Amelia then finds out about Dan forcing Noah into breaking up with her, all hell breaks loose and she decides to move out.

Noah will then be seen promising he can be the man Amelia and her baby need – a promise that results in the two teens sharing a kiss. Dan’s furious when he sees them, but his rage only drives Amelia further away. It looks as though he’s really gone and blown it this time…

Faith and Pollard live life to the full

Faith has certainly been making the most of what remains of her life – to the extent that it now feels as though Emmerdale will be deprived of one of its best mirth makers when she ultimately exits.

Her next adventure will see her sharing a drunken afternoon with Pollard before zooming around the village in a stolen golf cart. It’s clear to all that Faith is overjoyed to be in Pollard’s company.

But with emotional scenes expected during the soap’s 50th anniversary week, Faith’s happiness may well prove to be short-lived.
