Meena makes her plea, as Manpreet flees

Manpreet is trying to remain stoic in public but is privately crumbling as she nervously awaits Meena’s plea hearing.

On the day of her appearance in court, the deranged Meena is left perturbed when she sees the paltry number of villagers who’ve turned up to hear what she has to say. But eager to give them a decent show, the calculating killer does her best to unsettle what audience she has attracted.

And to everyone’s surprise, she ends up pleading guilty to the first of her many charges. But might she have a surprise or two in store? Manpreet, meanwhile, suffers a panic attack as her fears mount over testifying.

And, buckling under the pressure, she ends up fleeing in her car before abandoning both her phone and vehicle in the middle of the night. Will she be found?

Dawn faces a terrible quandary

Billy has hopes of adopting Lucas with Dawn but there’s one not-so-insignificant problem: the young lad’s biological father Alex.

Initially, Alex is incensed by the idea but will then be seen accepting Dawn and Billy’s adoption proposal. However, it soon becomes apparent that Alex hasn’t been won over and, in a private meet-up with Dawn, he demands that she deal drugs for him in order to pay off his debts in return for him consenting to Lucas’s adoption.

Dawn’s next move is to make an attempt to steal from Home Farm, but she finds herself caught in the act by Kim. And things subsequently go from bad to worse when a now-desperate Dawn later meets up with Alex’s dealer – only to find themselves interrupted by the arrival of a police car. Cue Dawn being guided into the back of the vehicle by an arresting officer…

Rhona and her mum Mary have a secret

Rhona is left kicking herself when she realises that she’s inadvertently convinced her mother to stay longer. So, the exact opposite of the outcome she was hoping for!

But as preparations are made for Marlon’s surprise party at Smithy, Rhona and Mary experience something unexpected: a rare moment of tenderness. But what is the shared secret over which they end up bonding?

Amelia is left heartbroken

There are some relationship dilemmas on the cards for the village’s teens as Noah starts flirting with an overly enamoured Amelia for Chloe’s benefit. But his scheme backfires when Chloe turns her attention to Jacob instead.

Samson, meanwhile, has a genuine crush on Amelia. But at an upcoming party, he’s tasked by Noah to keep Cathy busy while he makes another move on Amelia in order to rile Chloe.

But when the duplicity is revealed, Amelia is left crushed and reluctantly ends up telling her concerned family about what’s happened. Hence Kerry leaving Amelia embarrassed when she makes a rash intervention.
