Meena is behind bars – but still scheming

Meena’s plea hearing is fast approaching, so Charles is venturing behind bars in order a secure a confession from the prisoner. But as he presses her, the vicar is caught completely off guard when Meena spills and offers up all the grisly details about Andrea’s grisly demise.

Once back at his parish, Charles decides that the best thing he can do is set up a support group for those affected by Meena’s crimes. And he’s then left heartened when Liam agrees to participate.

But when Charles opts to put his congregation first and turns down the chance to see Meena again, she loses her grip and bashes the phone against the prison wall, knowing that her latest manipulative plan has been foiled.

But fans should ready themselves for Meena trying another tactic, as well as the possibility of the support group discovering that Charles has been paying her prison visits.

Marlon and Rhona’s relationship hits the rocks

Rhona is aware the clock is counting down and that she must tell Marlon the truth about Marcus’s identity. But an already fraught situation gets even more intense when Marcus tells Rhona that he’s been named in Pierce’s will.

Later on, Kim finds out who Marcus is and can’t believe what she’s hearing. But when Marlon walks in on the tail-end of the conversation, Rhona is forced to come clean to him, too. As her stunned partner leaves, Rhona fears that she’s ruined their relationship. And, sure enough, Marlon is soon telling best mate Paddy that he feels unable to forgive Rhona.

Things then come to a head when Rhona has a set-to with Marlon, insults his ego and accuses him of victim-shaming her. Spying the pair at war, Marcus pleads with Marlon not to vent his anger over Pierce on Rhona. But will Marlon want to reconcile? It’s certainly not going to be plain sailing when Rhona decides to patch things up by proposing marriage…

Will Marcus leave Ethan behind?

In the aftermath of the reading of Pierce’s will, his son Marcus decides that there’s little point in remaining part of village life. Ethan, though, thinks differently and suggests that the two of them meet up. But Marcus rejects this offer as well as Ethan’s further attempts to secure another date.

The next day, Ethan is given new hope when both Rhona and Marlon give him their blessing in pursuing a relationship with Marcus. But will the newcomer change his mind and stick around?

Laurel plans her exit

A teary-eyed Laurel is considering the unthinkable: a move to a new house outside of the village, as she can no longer afford to be in such a prime location. And it seems she’s going to have to be quick, as Kim now has a buyer for Mulberry and needs the property vacant in 30 days’ time.

But a further twist to this tale comes later in the week when Kim asks Jai for his shares in HOP and, in return, says she’ll give him enough money to pay off his loan and put down a deposit on Mulberry. But will Jai take Kim up on her offer?Watch the latest Emmerdale spoilers
