Emmerdale star Bradley Johnson praises emotional Vinny and Aaron scene
Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale star Bradley Johnson has spoken about the emotional heart-to-heart coming up for Vinny and Aaron Dingle.
Vinny braces himself for trouble with Aaron next week as he breaks the news that he's in a new relationship with Gabby Thomas, but he doesn't get the reaction he was expecting.
In 2022, Vinny was left devastated as his wife Liv – Aaron's sister – was killed during a dangerous storm in the village.
He has struggled to move on with his life since then, but next week's episodes see him secure Aaron's blessing to make a go of things with Gabby.

Speaking about the emotional scene, Bradley explained: "Aaron gives Vinny a pep talk because Vinny is worried about upsetting him.
"Obviously they've become close because of Liv. Aaron gives Vinny the all-clear and goes: 'I want you to be happy. Liv's not coming back and you deserve to have happiness'. Which is really nice.
"Danny [Miller, who plays Aaron] is great and he brings such a dynamic to the family as well.
"It's more like a brother relationship, because Vinny's an only child. Aaron is that guy you can go to for advice about stuff. I feel like, going forward with this pep talk he's had with him, he can talk to him about anything and he'll be honest with him."

Although Vinny has been hesitant to pursue things with Gabby, next week's episodes see him reveal that he's ready to take the next step in their relationship.
Bradley continued: "The dynamic between Vinny and Gabby is really good, because Vinny's this geeky, blabbering character and Gabby is quite bossy. But it does work in a weird way and it brings the best out of both of them.
"It's hard as well because Gabby was Liv's best friend and it's that boundary – do they want to step over that? It's been a long time since she passed, but for both of them it's like walking on eggshells of how Vinny's feeling about Liv and how he goes forward with that.

"Vinny is also so inexperienced, because Liv was asexual so he's never experienced that side of a relationship before. Whereas Gabby is a bit more experienced than Vinny is.
"I've loved the storyline and the way they're writing for both of them, bringing Vinny's geekiness back out of him. It's been so fun and there's a lot of comedic elements in it. I'm really enjoying it.
"It can show the light and the dark side of the relationship – obviously what they're going through now, but if they come through the other end and they become happy, I think it could work."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
