Discussing the current storyline between Laurel and vicar Charles, Katherine, who previously played the village vicar joked: “She (Laurel) loves somebody in a dog collar…although, she never jumped on Harriet.”
Katherine joked her character could ‘return’ as a ghost and have a love affair with Laurel. The Cure Usher Ball was hosted by Emmerdale stars Laura Norton and Mark Jordon.

As we’ve previously reported, the couple have bravely opened up about their two children both being diagnosed with Ushers Syndrome - an incurable condition that affects hearing, vision and balance.
There are three main types of Usher Syndrome, each causing varying levels of health problems that can lead to deafness and hearing loss. The rare inherited condition affects around 4 to 17 in 100,000 people worldwide. Both of the couple's children are deaf and without a cure, it is possible they will also go blind.
Laura and Mark are patrons and trustees of the charity Cure Usher.
