Friday night's Emmerdale brought some major updates to viewers, as a sudden character departure took place. Following Nate Robinson's absence since the recent catastrophic blaze at Moira Dingle's barn, the show unveiled that he has indeed left the village permanently.

In the latest episode, it emerged that Nate had seized an employment chance in Shetland, leaving his family and friends in the village to grasp the reality of his unexpected departure, reports the Mirror.

Jurell Carter, who portrayed Nate for half a decade, has exited the drama with this storyline being his swan song. Given that Nate was missing during the inferno, speculation was rife amongst fans who thought Nate had died.

Nevertheless, on Friday night, confirmation came through John Sugden, who attested to seeing Nate prior to his exit, thus assuring that he was not present at the farm during the perilous fire.

He further indicated that Nate chose to leave and made a quick exit from the village, failing to bid farewell to most of the locals.

Post a heated argument with his father Cain Dingle due to a misunderstanding, Nate confided in John about his need to escape the "toxic" environment of the village.

His relationship with Tracy Metcalfe also ended definitively when she sided against him over Moira's predicament, leading to Nate deserting both her and their daughter Frankie.

Actor Jurell has finally spoken out about his exit from the show, confirming that his character Nate has indeed left for Scotland. In an interview with The Mirror and other press, Jurell explained Nate's decision to leave, stating: "It feels like everything is just falling apart overnight. It's huge for him but family is massive for Nate. The fact that family is everything to him, it's a pivotal moment in terms of Nate going forward and his decision leaving everyone behind."

Jurell continued: "It's not what he wanted to do, but he's been left with no choice. It's not backfired but everything has shattered apart. He's lost his family and everything else."

This comes after Nate was proven innocent of kissing Moira, but the damage had already been done, leaving the question of whether Nate will ever forgive Tracy and Cain.
