Emmerdale star Zoe Henry predicts fan reactions over Rhona baby plot
Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale star Zoe Henry has revealed what she thinks the fan reaction will be once her character Rhona Goskirk's upcoming storyline unfolds on screen.
Scenes set to air next week will show that her ex-husband Gus fraudulently used their frozen embryos and now his current wife is heavily pregnant... to the point where she will go into labour next week when Rhona goes to their house for a confrontation.
As the storyline plays out, viewers will see Rhona struggle with whether she wants to be part of the baby's life or not, since it is biologically hers.

"I hope [the viewers] understand where Rhona is coming from," Henry said. "It's not a story that you can necessarily research for, you just have to go with your own instincts. I try to think about my own experiences becoming a mother and how I felt in those first few months.
"I imagine that most women in particular will get it. I don't mean to be sexist about that, I just think there's this primal sense of how you feel when you become a mother.
"I think most women will get it and they wouldn't be able to stay away either. Even questions like 'does she have my eyes, does she have my hair?' There's that pull there."

In the end, the actress thinks that Rhona will "100%" want to be involved, adding: "I question myself and how I would feel if that were me. I 1000% wouldn't be leaving that alone because the child is out there and you'd want to be there for them.
"Even if it's just the inquisitive stuff, you'd want to be involved, so there's no way that Rhona would leave it alone."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
