Emmerdale teases new suspect in Will Taylor blackmail story

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale has revealed a new suspect in Will Taylor's blackmail story.

Earlier this week, Will was alarmed to receive a flower bouquet at Home Farm with a note attached, warning: "I know what you did."

This followed on from Kim Tate returning home for the first time since love rival Rose Jackson was kicked out of Home Farm for trying to sabotage her and Will's marriage.

Dawn Taylor subsequently found out what her father had done and moved out of Home Farm. Will has thus far hidden from Kim that he shared a kiss with Rose before her exit.

All throughout Friday's (August 30) episode, Will noticed that Lydia Dingle was watching him as she was cleaning at Home Farm.

Later, Lydia tried to speak with Kim over her suspicions about Rose and Will. Kim said she knew about Rose "trying it on" with Will but insisted it wasn't "entirely" her husband's fault.

"He's assured me nothing else happened and I believe him," Kim told Lydia. "I appreciate your concern but I don't want to talk about it anymore."

Meanwhile, Will opened up about the blackmail threat to now-former business partner Jimmy King as they tried to figure out who'd been sending the messages.

Will was considering coming clean to Kim about his kiss with Rose to prevent any potential threats from the blackmailer.

"If I was you, I'd be hanging tight and praying hard," Jimmy admitted.

The pair suspected Rose might be the culprit. At the cafe, Jimmy suggested Rose would likely "get bored and move on", though Will questioned whether Lydia might be his blackmailer.

Lydia was sitting at the table across from them and watching their conversation. Will admitted to Jimmy that he never saw who brought in the flowers with the threatening note.

At that very moment, Will received an anonymous text message warning: "I'm going to make you pay."

Will glanced up to see Lydia staring directly at him with her phone in hand. Is Lydia the mysterious blackmailer?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
