Emmerdale top 9 spoilers as Cain Dingle bombshell rocks village in tragic twist

Emmerdale fans can expect a ton of drama to play out on screens.

It’s Cain Dingle’s big birthday, but following his shock affair with Ruby Miligan-Fox this month, he’s not in the mood to celebrate. Moira however, plans to pull out all the stops - only for a huge bombshell to turn her world upside down.

Elsewhere, a flashback episode to Ruby’s 16th birthday reveals a shocking secret, and Kim Tate and Will Taylor take the next step in their relationship. Also happening, Ross Barton is dealt a devastating blow, and Tom King continues to cause drama from prison.

Here are the top nine Emmerdale spoilers for next week.

1.) Moira plans Cain's birthday

Starting Monday 9th of December, Moira intends to throw a surprise party for Cain’s birthday, although Matty’s unconvinced she’s well enough. Lying about his whereabouts, Cain hunkers down for the night away from Moira and is consumed by guilt.

Anxious to have not heard from Cain all night, but determined he will arrive, Moira sends Matty home and delays her appointment.

2.) Cain arrested

Running out of time to postpone her appointment any further she makes a last-ditch phone call to Cain. Terrified, Moira prepares to receive her pathology results alone.

Meanwhile, blocked from leaving by Jai’s awkwardly parked car and fuelled by a desperate voicemail from Moira, Cain’s stopped by Swirling, agitated Cain tries to get a move on, but his aggressive approach leads to an untimely arrest.

3.) Moira receives results

Deflated Cain leaves Swirling torn when he asks for the chance to have one private conversation with Moira on the phone.

Moira is aghast to hear from Cain that he has been arrested and she tells him that her results were fine, but admits to heartbroken Matty that she’ll need radiotherapy as they both cry together.

4.) Cain racked with guilt

Despite being let off with a caution, Cain is disinterested in Swirling’s compassionate understanding. Discovering drunk Cain in the allotment, supportive Liam makes a move to help his friend.

Furious at Cain when Liam drops him off, Moira reveals about his surprise party and insists he pulls himself together for tomorrow. But guilty Cain feels he has to tell her the truth….

5.) Ruby and Anthony clash

Brenda lets slip about Tracy and Caleb’s affair, darkening Anthony’s mood. Anthony confronts Caleb about his affair. Defending her own and Caleb’s actions, Ruby is left unsettled by unconvinced Anthony’s persistent questioning.

Soon, optimistic Ruby makes inroads into repairing her relationship with Steph. Allusions to the past from Anthony leave Ruby uneasy, despite an outward focus on moving forward.

6.) Ruby flashback episode

In the present day, Steph has found a photo of Ruby on her sixteenth birthday. Ruby pretends she doesn’t remember but is deeply troubled.

In a flashback to 1992, it’s Ruby’s sixteenth birthday as she remembers getting on well with teenage Rob. Soon the audience will get a glimpse into Ruby’s past.

7.) Ross’ heartbreaking blow

Ross is shocked to find Moses is petrified of him. Knowing that he’s made Moses not want to be near him, Ross is defeated, and Charity is resolute as she sends him packing.

Ross observes the close bond between Mack and Moses, abandoning his plans to reconcile with his son.

8.) Tom continues to scheme

Angel gets Jimmy to read Tom’s letter and he is rattled - but sees through the attempt to manipulate them. Jimmy is then convinced to pay him a visit after her emotional blackmail.

Soon, Tom turns on the crocodile tears when Jimmy comes to visit, but Tom is stunned to hear Jimmy will only give him a chance if he changes his plea. However, when his nephew turns the blame back on Belle, Jimmy leaves upset, knowing Tom can never change.

Frustrated Ollie tries to convince Tom not to try another scheme to stop the trial and later Angelica is called over by Ollie, who has a task for her.

Worried about Angel’s ongoing affinity with Tom, neither Jimmy or Nicola realise she’s about to publicly post a video which she hopes will help his cause.

9.) Kim and Will’s wedding news

Feigning a loved-up attitude with Kim, furtive Will takes the first opportunity upon their return to arrange a meeting with Peter. Wanting to enact their plan, Will’s confused when Peter tells him there’s been a change of circumstance.

Will pushes for all to be revealed about the delay to their takedown of Kim, but Peter refuses to call the mysterious third party, telling Will to wait. Later, Will’s riddled with guilt when Kim puts extra effort into Christmas as a way of signifying a new start to their relationship.

Acting on Peter’s orders, Will asks Kim if she’d like to renew their vows on Christmas day. He’s guilty when an oblivious Kim becomes emotional at his seemingly romantic proposal.
