Emmerdale Wendy Posner star Susan Cookson's new role 'revealed' after ITV soap exit
Emmerdale's Wendy Posner has bid farewell to the village in emotional scenes.
Susan Cookson joined the ITV soap as the regular character back in 2019 and has been at the centre of some gripping storylines.
However, it was revealed that month that the actress would be leaving the soap after six years and her final scenes aired on Friday (January 17).
Her exit storyline involved Wendy being embroiled in a blackmail plot with a journalist who published an article about her murky past and suggested she might be linked to April Windsor's (Amelia Flanagan) disappearance.
Brand and culture expert Rochelle White from Rochelle White Agency has shared her thoughts on what Wendy could do next, and she could pop up on rival ITV soap Coronation Street.

Rochelle said: "I feel that Wendy Posner could have a few opportunities come her way. Another soap like Coronation Street could approach her either to be a guest character or even create a storyline for her to come in and be part of.
"Not only that, depending on the type of things she might be interested in, Celebrity based reality TV shows could be an option, if they are around for 2025, like Strictly as an example.
"I feel that she could even do one of ITV's mini series/ dramas that could be a great opportunity to showcase her acting ability and could showcase her in a different light."
Susan is widely recognised for her role on Emmerdale. In addition to her well-known portrayal of Maggie Coldwell in the BBC drama Casualty, she has also been seen as Kath Wylie in Doctors, took on the character Tanya in Early Doors, and featured as Janice Piper in Clocking Off.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
