Emmerdale Zoë Henry unrecognisable in forgotten role on soap before becoming Rhona
Emmerdale fans have been left gobsmacked by Zoë Henry’s secret role on an ITV soap.
The actress made her debut in the Dales back in 2001 playing Rhona Goskirk - - and it didn’t take her long to become a soap favourite.
Rhona’s had her fair share of big storylines too - from substance abuse and feuds to nearly dying and affairs, her time in the Dales has not been short of drama.
Especially at the moment, as her husband Marlon Dingle’s (Mark Charnock) daughter April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) has been missing since Christmas. The teenager was last seen getting in a strange car driven by a mysterious individual.

Prior to her Emmerdale stint, actress Zoë appeared in the likes of Dalziel and Pascoe, The Bill, A Touch of Frost and Casualty. But it’s her role on rival soap Coronation Street from the ‘90s that has got plenty of people talking.
Zoë joined the Corrie cast back in 1998, playing Log Thwaite, the vegan girlfriend of Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock). She appeared in six episodes - but certainly caused a ton of drama. Log was hated by Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) who had her sights set on Emily Bishop's eco-warrior nephew herself.
Toyah wanted to get rid of vegan Log and managed to convince her to eat a bacon sandwich, before making sure that Spider caught her. He immediately dumped Log for not being committed to the vegan cause and Log left the soap.
What’s more, in 2007, Zoë appeared in Coronation Street again - this time playing Casey Carswell who befriended Claire Peacock (Julia Haworth). However, she then ended up having an affair with Ashley Peacock (Steven Arnold).
Talking about her Corrie stint, Zoë previously described Log Thwaite as “the worst character name I’ve ever had, although Rhona Goskirk isn’t great either!”
She told Metro: “It was my first job out of drama school and I was absolutely thrilled. Log was an ex-girlfriend of Spider, who turned up out of the blue but Toyah Battersby drove them apart.
“It was 24 years ago and I only did six episodes, but Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah, is very sweet whenever I see her.”
Fans recently came across Zoë on Coronation Street and were left gobsmacked. On Facebook, one person penned: “I did not recognise her.” Someone else added: “I didn't know that was Rhona she was young there.” A third wrote: “I had to Google it and it is her!”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
