Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Amelia Spencer will be warned over Tom King's lies in upcoming Emmerdale scenes.

Viewers learned during Friday's (September 13) episode that Amelia has been secretly helping her boyfriend Tom since he fled the village in fear of Cain's retribution.

Tom has been manipulating the teen to get back at his estranged wife Belle, with Amelia refusing to listen to warnings that he's dangerous.

Chas Dingle will catch Amelia stashing extra food in her bag in upcoming scenes and realise she must be seeing Tom in secret.

When Chas tries to explain the level of Tom's physical and emotional abuse of Belle, she's horrified when Amelia defiantly defends him.

Chas goes to Amy and Kerry Wyatt to share her concerns that Tom is using Amelia. Kerry immediately wants to confront Amelia head-on before Amy encourages her to be more tactful.

Amelia turns up in the middle of this discussion. Realising the women are worried about her relationship, Amelia once again defends dating Tom and then storms off.

Amy warns Kerry that if they try to push Amelia too hard, she'll likely isolate herself further from them.

However, Amy will realise something must be done when she later sees Amelia arguing with Vanessa Woodfield over Tom's firing from the vet's surgery.

Amy later tries to gently bring up her concerns about Tom. Amelia resists at first but is given something to think about when Amy suggests Tom may be lying to her.

These scenes air next week.

Ahead of these dramatic moments, Belle actor Eden Taylor-Draper recently hinted that Tom will ultimately face "justice" for his abusive conduct.

"The Dingles are the most loyal family, so it's, obviously, it's going to rock a few boats, so we'll see," she told The Mirror. "I feel like we need justice in a storyline like this. I feel like if justice is served everyone will be happy."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
