Emmerdale star Danny Miller has taken to social media to announce that he and his wife are expecting their second child together.

Danny and his wife Steph posted a video montage to Instagram, which showed their excited son, Albert, waiting with his parents for the scan. The unborn baby's heartbeat can then be heard as the sonogram is taken.

Steph was then shown being pampered before followers were shown glimpses of the family of three having a photoshoot celebrating the news that they will be becoming a family of four. The photoshoot featured a pregnant Steph celebrating with Danny.

Then, towards the end of the video, Albert was given a Babygro with a message written on it: "Promoted to big brother." The Babygro was placed next to a picture of the scan alongside a sign reading "One more to love."

In their Instagram caption, they wrote: "One more to adore. We can’t wait to meet you Baby Miller. Thanks to the @thenewbornemporium for capturing our special news."

Danny also posted a picture of Albert wearing the Babygro to Twitter, with the caption: "One more to adore. We can’t wait to make the Millers a 4."

Danny is best known for playing Aaron Dingle in Emmerdale from 2008–2012 and then from 2014–2022. He left back in December 2021 but then returned for the show's 50th anniversary episodes — and Aaron got arrested in the process for protecting Liv Dingle.

Danny then revealed that he would never say never to returning to the soap.

"I've got a few things on at the end of the year, a pantomime and stuff, and then I've got a job next year as well, so it's just not the right time at the moment," Danny said.

"But I'm not one of those actors that say 'No, that's it now, I've shelved it'. As I said, it's a massive part of my life, a huge part of my life, and it always will be. There's never a chance of me ever saying I'll never go back."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
