Emmerdale spoilers spoilers.
Dawn Taylor has discovered Harriet Finch's betrayal in Emmerdale.
A potentially unforgivable breach of trust occurred in Friday's episode (July 15), following an emotional week for Dawn where she learned her best mate Beth had overdosed.
Dawn reconnected with friend Jade at the funeral, then made the questionable decision to go back to Jade's for a visit. There, she found squalor and drugs out in the open for a young child, Clemmie, to see.
Jade dropped the bombshell that Clemmie is Beth's daughter, but the girl still didn't even know that her mum had died. Everything turned nasty when Dawn offered to bring Clemmie home with her.
Clemmie desperately clung to Dawn while a furious Jade turned on her friend, only for Dawn and the child to flee back to Emmerdale together.
Following a traumatic day, Dawn and her husband Billy had a frank discussion about Clemmie's future — and an option that they might be able to take her in.
Dawn was also trying to figure out how to tell Clemmie that her mum had died. Unfortunately, Clemmie overheard Dawn's conversation and, in her grief, ran away.
During the search for Clemmie, Billy agreed to take in the girl, even though it was obvious he wasn't sure it was the right idea.
The couple was soon surprised by a visit from child services with questions about Clemmie. However, they were horrified when the child service therapist announced Clemmie would be removed from their home until an investigation took place.
Billy and Dawn were heartbroken to see Clemmie led away, knowing that they might not be able to get her back. However, the true shock was yet to come when Dawn discovered it was Harriet who'd called child services!
"You have sent her from one hell to another, and now she thinks no-one is coming back for her," Dawn alleged.
Will Dawn be able to forgive Harriet?
