Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Upcoming episodes of Emmerdale will see the Dingle family clash after the revelation of Faith's cancer diagnosis.
In Thursday's (June 16) episode, viewers will see Faith's children Chas and Cain finally learn that their mother's breast cancer has returned and is incurable, after a confrontation with Cain at Faith's birthday party.
The next day, Chas struggles to come to terms with the news that Faith's cancer is back, and, in scenes set to air next week, things then get worse for Chas when Faith tells her that she doesn’t want to keep going with her chemotherapy anymore.
A heartbroken Chas tells a stoic Cain that Faith doesn't want to continue her treatment and begs him to reach out to her and try to convince her to carry on, believing that Faith may listen to him.
Chas ultimately succeeds in managing to sway her mother into resuming her chemo. But, heavily in denial over the situation, she doesn't realise that isn't what Faith wants to do.
Chas' denial causes Cain to clash with his sister, accusing her of influencing Faith into continuing the treatment. He calls Chas out for making Faith's decision for her, leaving Chas feeling guilty.
Concerned that she's forcing Faith to continue her treatment, Chas then asks her mum if she's happy with the decision. Faith attempts to put on a brave face while talking to Chas but isn't able to keep it together after she leaves, as she knows she only made her decision for Chas's benefit.
Chas ends up apologising for pushing her mum into continuing treatment when the two later meet at The Woolpack, which causes Faith to finally break down in front of her daughter.
The pair manage to clear the air with one another over such a difficult time, but what will Faith ultimately decide to do when it comes to her cancer treatment?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
