Emmerdale's Eric Pollard is involved in a dramatic lorry crash next week, after a row with Caleb Miligan escalates.
The pair start bickering when Pollard goes to complain to Caleb that his warehouse has resulted in a problematic amount of traffic. When Caleb refuses to take Pollard's words seriously, Eric becomes furious.
To get back at Caleb for dismissing him, Eric climbs into one of Caleb's lorries and refuses to get out.

Unfortunately, with Pollard feeling stressed and without his medication for his Parkinson's disease, he experiences a hand tremor and accidentally crashes the lorry into a pile of crates.
Pollard tries to keep his composure after the incident, but it's clear that he's worried about what happened.
Caleb later turns up at the shop to confront Pollard, demanding that he stay out of his business from now on. Pollard tries to keep his cool, but it's clear that he's struggling with his symptoms.

The next day, Pollard isn't feeling himself as he walks into the village. When Caleb sees him, he realises that Eric needs help, so he offers him a lift. Although Pollard is embarrassed to accept help from his rival, he feels he has no choice but to overcome his pride and take the lift.
Caleb delivers Pollard to Doctor Liam Cavanagh's house, and an emotional Pollard thanks Caleb for showing him kindness.
As Liam gives Eric a check-up, he explains that Pollard's moment of paralysis happened because he didn't have his usual medication with him. Relieved Pollard asks Liam to keep the incident a secret from his family, not wanting them to worry about him.

Pollard first shared the news that he had been diagnosed with the neurological condition Parkinson's disease last autumn, with actor Chris Chittell saying that he felt "really privileged to be given this storyline".
"Parkinson's is indiscriminate, deceptive and wickedly unkind targeting so many," he said. "I want to do this storyline justice for the most courageous of people who are having to bear the brunt of this condition."
Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw said that the soap plans to explore the long-term impact of Eric's condition, explaining: "The unique position of a show like Emmerdale means we can tell this story really authentically over a long period of time and we can really shine a light on what a diagnosis like this means and follow Pollard on his journey of learning to live with it."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
