Ethan struggles when his father Charles also expresses doubts about the ongoing situation. He ultimately decides that it's best to walk away from the case, even though this could have negative consequences for his legal career.

Later, Ethan meets up with Jordan at the law office and explains that he can no longer represent him.

Jordan faces further consequences when his wife Courtney, who's also at the meeting, calls out his obvious racism and decides to leave him.
