Emmerdale's James Moore ties the knot with partner Sophie Edwards
Emmerdale's James Moore has tied the knot with his love Sophie Edwards in an enchanting Cotswolds wedding. The actor, known for his portrayal of Ryan Stocks - Charity Dingle's long-lost son on the iconic Yorkshire soap since 2018 - celebrated his nuptials surrounded by castmates including Dominic Brunt, who plays Paddy Kirk, Mark Charnock who plays Marlon Dingle, Emma Atkins who plays Charity Dingle and Ash Palmisciano who plays Matty Barton.
Speaking to OK! magazine, James said: "Ash was part of my groom’s party – we came into Emmerdale at the same time." He also said he shared an immediate connection with Ash, adding: "I’m disabled and playing a disabled character, he’s trans and playing a trans character, so we bonded early on because of the commonalities we have."
James, who lives with cerebral palsy just like his character in Emmerdale, also shared his future ambitions with OK! He said: "We want to start a family in 2026 or 2027 but we need a house first. We need the room. I’ve got too many vinyl records to fit a baby in our flat!" Sporting a dashing purple suit, James looked stylish while his bride stunned in a classic floor-length white gown, clutching a bouquet of flowers.

Taking to Instagram, he couldn't contain his joy: "Our wedding was so incredible! Thank you to everyone that made it so special. I’m so happy and proud to announce there is a new Mrs Moore. I love you!"
The Ryan Stocks actor first arrived in the fictional Yorkshire village back in 2018 as Charity Dingle's long-lost son. Ryan had been adopted by midwife Irene Stocks after Charity gave birth aged just 14. Charity assumed Ryan had died as she had a difficult birth, and later saw nurses give a baby CPR before she fled from the hospital.
Ryan has had his fair share of troubles in the ITV soap and has been at the centre of some dramatic storylines. But thankfully James' life off camera is far calmer and happier. Last year, the star has received well wishes from fans after sharing his wedding plans on Instagram.
James said: "A year from today we’ll be getting married. I can’t wait to start the rest of our lives together." Fans have been quick to comment as Maxine said: "Congratulations to you both, I hope you will be very happy xx." Sandra said: "Congratulations to you both. That year will soon pass and you'll have the rest of your lives together as Mr and Mrs." Jo said: "This is bloody lovely x."
