Emmerdale's Jurell Carter announces first project since leaving soap

Emmerdale actor Jurell Carter has revealed his first project since leaving the ITV soap.

Carter had played Cain Dingle's son Nate Robinson since 2019, before departing early this year. His final scenes only aired in September, but you can already see him on TV with his new gig. Or rather, you can hear him.

The actor revealed on Instagram that he provided the voiceover for the Christmas adverts for cosmetics retailer Sephora.

In the adverts he shared to his profile, Carter uses an American accent to narrate the dilemmas of four people who aren't sure what to get their co-worker/other half/family for the festive season.

"Had the pleasure of voicing the new @sephora Christmas ads," the actor wrote in the caption.

Carter's Emmerdale co-stars including Paula Lane (Ella Forster), Natalie J Robb (Moira Barton), Danny Miller (Aaron Dingle) and Michelle Hardwick (Vanessa Woodfield) all commented with emojis of congratulations and support on the post.

Nate's exit story saw him having a falling out with both Cain and estranged wife Tracy over a misunderstanding, and texting people that he had left to sort his head out. Fans aren't sure if there isn't something more sinister going on, however.

It looks like we won't find out any time soon, as Carter explained that he had left Emmerdale, at least for now.

"It's been a massive chapter of my life and will always hold a special place in my heart," he said after his final scenes aired. "Emmerdale is a big family, from the minute I walked in the building on my first day I was made to feel welcome and wanted and I've been truly blessed to be a part of it."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
