Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale's Liv Flaherty suffered a shock collapse in tonight's episode, following a drunken reunion with her estranged mother Sandra.
In Monday evening's (May 24) instalment of the ITV soap, Liv (Isobel Steele) found her mum at the caravan park and was shocked to discover that she'd actually been living in Wales, just a car ride away, for several months and hadn't told her daughter.
While Liv initially tried to open up to her mum about Paul Ashdale's death and her troubles back home, Sandra (Joanne Mitchell) brushed off Liv's troubles and instead tried to distract her daughter by pouring her a drink.
Although tempted by the booze, Liv initially rejected the drink and criticised Sandra for turning to the bottle every time she found things difficult.
But when Sandra turned on the radio and started dancing, Liv walked up to the vodka-filled shot glass that Sandra had poured for and downed it.
By the end of the episode, the pair had both indulged in plenty of alcohol and were seen dancing together outside the caravan.
The night soon took an ominous turn, however, when Liv blacked out and fell flat on her back as her mother, oblivious, carried on partying.
Liv's latest temptation comes after she turned back to alcohol to block out her problems and later fled the village in search of her mum after falling out with her brother Aaron (Danny Miller).
While Liv was tracking down her mother at the caravan park, tonight's episode also saw Lydia (Karen Blick), Sam (James Hooton), Ben (Simon Lemmon), Chastity (Lucy Pargeter) and Aaron rallying together to try and locate Liv.
As Aaron's concerns over Liv's safety grew, especially considering her recent epilepsy diagnosis, he scolded himself for not being there for her when she clearly needed him most.
Thankfully, future spoilers have revealed that Liv soon regains consciousness, but she's left facing even more temptation in tomorrow's episode after watching a heartfelt message from her brother Aaron.
As Sandra arrives with more booze for the two of them, will Liv do as her brother asks and come home, or will she decide to stay with Sandra and turn to drink once again?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
