Emmerdale has revealed the long-awaited outcome of Robron's wedding - with the popular couple tying the knot in their own unique way.

Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle were all set to exchange their vows at The Woolpack last night, but their happy day descended into complete chaos when police stormed the ceremony to arrest Faith.

Although order was restored once the police carted Faith away, pessimistic Robert (Ryan Hawley) thought the damage was already done as the fiasco had ruined their moment.

Plus - let's face it - Robert had never been a fan of all those tacky wedding decorations at the pub anyway...

Fortunately, just when it seemed like the Robron wedding was over before it had even properly begun, Aaron (Danny Miller) sprung his own surprise on Robert by suggesting that they could exchange their vows privately at the garage.

It may have seemed pretty random and weird, but it was the location of the first time Robron slept together and it somehow seemed a lot more fitting than the ceremony the Dingles had arranged at the pub.

Using his vows as an opportunity to promise he wouldn't cheat, Robert told Aaron: "I take you, Aaron Dingle, to be my wedded husband. I promise to be faithful, to put you first, to make you happy, to keep trying to be better for you - because you deserve it."

Aaron responded with: "I, Aaron Dingle, take you, Robert Jacob Sugden, to be my wedded husband. I can't really think of anything else to say. Sorry, I'm rubbish at this. But you know.

"I've never had this with anyone else before. I never thought I'd have this with anyone. I never thought I'd have it with you. And now I've gone and messed it all up.

"I promise to be better as well. To trust you. To never let you down ever again. I promise I'm going to be the best husband I can be."

With all of that over, the stage was set for Robron to enjoy their wedding reception - which included Robert following Dingle family tradition by drinking beer from a welly.

There was even a first dance of sorts as Aaron just about managed to move from side-to-side when a slow song came on.

Emmerdale fans know that Robron's current happiness will be short-lived, with Aaron off to prison later this week. But show producer Iain MacLeod has already provided some light at the end of the tunnel by revealing that they could get married in a legal ceremony.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other media at an Emmerdale press event last week, Iain explained: "You will have inferred that it's not an 'official wedding', so a little sneaky part of me thought we could have two bites of the cherry here.

"There are no firm plans for part two in place, but it feels like in time they will want to sign and seal the deal legally."
