Emmerdale's Tom resorts to blackmail in new scenes

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale vet Paddy Dingle is next to witness a glimpse of Tom King's bullying behaviour next week.

The village favourite is horrified as Tom resorts to blackmail in the ongoing dispute surrounding his job.

Tom was suspended from the local vets surgery in September after his wife Belle Dingle bravely exposed him as a domestic abuser.

Paddy's loyalties naturally lie with Belle as she's a fellow Dingle – while Rhona relates to Belle's ordeal after her own experiences with an abusive husband, Pierce Harris.

Last month, Tom put pressure on Rhona to reinstate him, but she refused to do so until the legal battles between him and Belle are resolved.

Rhona went further by suggesting that Tom should probably look for a new job regardless, arguing that his position at the vets is unlikely to work out. Tom responded by threatening legal action for unfair dismissal, but Rhona refused to give into his demands.

Next week, the row turns nastier as Tom approaches Paddy in the village and tries out a new tactic.

Having witnessed plenty of dramas during his time at the surgery, Tom threatens to expose all of the vets' dirty laundry unless he gets his job back.

Paddy feels compromised by the ultimatum, but will he stand up to Tom?

The row comes as animosity towards Tom continues to grow in the village, with his aunt Nicola even now doubting him.

Tom has also been plotting with his solicitor friend Ollie, trying to win sympathy from his uncle Jimmy by damaging his own car and staging an attack.

Emmerdale airs the Tom and Paddy scenes on Friday, November 15 on ITV1 and ITVX.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
