Struggling to keep track of the constant stream of soap spoilers? Fear not, as every Monday Digital Spy picks out the biggest and best storylines hitting your screens in the week ahead.

1. Emmerdale: Matty turns on Victoria

(Thursday at 7pm and 8pm on ITV)

Emmerdale's recently announced storyline exploring toxic masculinity kicks off this week, when Matty befriends two new characters after a game of football. Invited out for drinks by Jono and Ste after the match, Matty is delighted but soon faces peer pressure from the two – leaving Pete worried.

When Amy reveals that Victoria is leaving the village, Matty is gutted to have been left in the dark. Feeling hurt, he later rebuffs Victoria's attempts to seek forgiveness and chooses to spend time with his new mates instead, leaving Vic upset when she needs support from her loved ones the most.

Matty later learns that his new friends have been talking about him behind his back, but is more determined than ever to win their approval.

2. Hollyoaks: Sienna's baby lie to Brody

(Tuesday at 7pm on E4 and Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

With the apparent discovery of the location of her missing twins, Sienna is planning to kidnap them and leave Hollyoaks and Brody behind. However, she's left in an uncomfortable position when Brody sees her holding a teddy, and assumes she's still pining for her children.

Thinking fast, Sienna instead reveals that she wants a baby with Brody, and he's overjoyed at the thought of starting a family together. With Brody excitedly planning their future together, determined Sienna confides to Liberty that she can't give Brody the life he deserves and enlists her sister's help to get her children back.

3. Coronation Street: Paula places Jack in danger

(Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV)

After Paula confides in Sophie following two recent break-in attempts at her flat, she is invited to stay at Number 13. Although Kevin disapproves, he eventually realises that Paula makes his daughter happy and agrees to the move. However, it seems like Kevin was right to be wary, when a passer-by steals his keys.

Later in the week, after Kevin has reluctantly left Jack alone in the house in order to help Roy, the man lets himself into the house and rifles through Paula's legal papers. Terrified Jack hides under his bed and texts Kevin, who races home.

Luckily, Abi is on hand to apprehend the intruder, but shifty Paula is forced to admit that the intruder is known to her – he's a criminal she's been acting against and he's been targeting her for a while.

The Websters are furious that Paula hadn't been upfront with them, and she packs her bags. Is it over for Sophie and Paula?

4. EastEnders: Max causes tension between Stacey and Martin

(Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

With Max in a bad way, Stacey's attempts to give him some stern advice quickly turn to worry when she makes an unsettling discovery. Concerned for her former lover, she acts as a shoulder to cry on when devastated Max breaks down – and she misses a romantic meal with Martin. Though Martin is seemingly understanding, it's clear he's secretly furious.

Determined to make it up to him, Stacey proposes another meal together. However, Martin is left biting his tongue when he realises that she has cooked extra for Max.

Later, Stacey heads over to Max's and is floored to find him with Ruby – and it's clear Stacey is feeling jealousy at the shock pairing.

5. Neighbours: Dee's DNA moment of truth

(Thursday and Friday at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5)

Dee's life is turned upside down once again this week, as the DNA tests are in and reveal that she's Andrea's twin sister – and that Heather is their mother. Stunned by the news, Dee and Toadie realise that they must rely on Heather for answers.

Enlisting the help of Beverly Robinson, Heather undergoes hypnosis, and it soon becomes clear that her memories of a pleasant birth were false. Instead, she gave birth in traumatic circumstances, with help from a nun, Sister Grace.

Later, Sister Grace visits Erinsborough and reveals the full truth. Finally armed with answers, Dee faces some big decisions about her new-found family.

6. Emmerdale: Moira gives into temptation with Nate

(Monday and Tuesday at 7pm on ITV)

When Nate encourages Amy to seek custody of Kyle, she's given food for thought when she witnesses a cold exchange between Moira and Cain. As she decides to fight for her son, Nate is pleased to see things grow more tense between the warring couple.

As Moira and Nate continue to work together at the barn, Moira is uneasy at the lingering tension between the pair – much to Nate's delight.

Moira insists there's nothing between them, but when he pulls her in for a kiss, she can't resist her urges any longer. At that same moment, Cain decides to head home, determined to prove himself to Moira…

7. Home and Away: Mackenzie reveals all to Dean

(Monday and Tuesday at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5)

When Mackenzie attempts to organise a surfing lesson with Dean, her personal line of questioning leaves him wary. Confused by her behaviour, Dean calls her out on it, but the moment is soon interrupted by Ben. Later, when Mackenzie lets slip that she only moved to Summer Bay to get to know Dean, she's forced to admit that she's his half-sister.

It turns out the pair share the same dad, who was married to Mackenzie's mum, then cheated on her with Dean's mother. Dean questions her real motivation for buying Salt and wants nothing to do with Mackenzie.

However, when he witnesses Mackenzie decline a phone call from their dad and it appears like there's no love lost, Dean realises he has more common with his sister than he thought.

8. Hollyoaks: Maxine's shocking claim

(Wednesday at 7pm on E4 and Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

The net begins to close in on Maxine this week, as Dr Levi grows increasingly suspicious of her illness. When he suggests a new treatment that could help Maxine with her pain, he is left shocked when Maxine takes the mysterious pills without knowing what they are. Caught out, Maxine rushes away – leaving her crutches behind.

Realising that Levi has rumbled her secret, Maxine decides that she must confess the truth to Damon. However, she soon realises she can't go through with it and tells the shocking lie that she only has six months to live. Has Maxine gone too far this time?

9. EastEnders: Gray and Mitch come to blows

(Thursday at 7.30pm and Friday at 8pm on BBC One)

When Keegan spends the day in Gray's office, an encounter with one of his colleagues has Keegan questioning his future. Inspired, Keegan announces that he's quitting school and leaves his family shocked. Mitch is furious and even more so when he realises that Keegan's time with Gray has caused the rash decision.

Unable to keep his calm, Mitch immediately confronts Gray and they pair begin hurling insults over the matter. However, it's not long before things get physical and a violent brawl erupts between the men, horrifying the Taylors.

10. Coronation Street: Gemma's mum causes trouble

(Wednesday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV)

After an appearance on Radio Weatherfield, it isn't long before donations start flying in to help Chesney and Gemma's financial situation. Just as Chesney declares his love for Gemma, the touching moment is interrupted by Gemma's mum Bernie. She reveals she's homeless, but Chesney is horrified when Gemma offers her the radio collection money.

Later, Chesney makes it up to Gemma by suggesting Bernie stay at his place, but he's left uncomfortable when she starts making awkward advances towards him.

Paul isn't pleased to see his mum again and demands that she behave herself. However, when Bernie lies and claims that Chesney is the one who fancies her, Gemma is stuck right in the middle.
