Welcome to Wrexham Renewed for Season 3, Coming to FX in Spring 2024
As previously reported, the strike-delayed, 75th Primetime Emmys are now slated to take place on Monday, Jan. 15 on Fox, four months after their originally scheduled Sept. 18 airdate. The January telecast will recognize achievements in series that aired between June 1, 2022 and May 31, 2023 — hence The Bear competing for Season 1.
If Edebiri is nominated for Season 2, she’ll compete for Lead Actress at the 76th Primetime Emmys, which will take place next September. Sooner than that, she’ll be eligible for Lead Actress at both the 81st Golden Globes (Jan. 7, 2024) and the 29th Critics Choice Awards (Jan. 14, 2024), where The Bear will be submitting for Season 2.
The FX sensation, which returned to Hulu with Season 2 in June, was recently renewed for Season 3.
Variety was the first to report the category change.
