Enchanted Halloween-themed day out over the Surrey border with a pumpkin carriage and woodland trails
If you’re looking for something different to do this Halloween, why not take a trip over the Surrey border and venture into Berkshire, for an enchanted day out? With enchanted pumpkin carriages fit for Cinderella, and stunning autumnal views, the Wasing Estate is a great destination for families to visit.
A rural estate between Newbury and Reading, Wasing is around a 40-minute drive from Sandhurst. The Park is home to a tranquil farm and quintessential walled gardens with a Victorian summerhouse and romantic farm buildings.
This autumn the estate brings a decorated woodland trail and pumpkin patch amongst the organic fields. Seasonal snacks and hot and cold beverages will also be served under a large tent.

Wheelbarrows will be provided for collecting the perfect pumpkins, with Halloween decorations dotted around the woodland, with fairytale toadstools and giant bats. Those attending will want to wear wellies and wrap up warm for the event, dogs are not permitted.
After exploring the Wasing Estate, visitors can also a couple of nice pubs nearby, like The Rowbarge in Woolhampton. The Rowbarge
is located on the River Kennet is a cosy, historic pub with tempting winter dishes like braised feather of beef bourguignon or Sicilian fish stew.
