Enchanted yurts coming to Liverpool waterfront this Christmas

A unique Christmas experience will take over Liverpool’s Kings Dock this festive season. Families are invited on a theatrical adventure through "Christmas Shire" where three enchanted yurts will pop up alongside the Wheel of Liverpool.

The adventure follows Nutmeg the elf who has been looking after the Christmas magic since last year. Without the Christmas magic, Father Christmas’ sleigh won’t be able to fly so the elves need the help of visitors to make more and save Christmas.

Guests will join Nutmeg on an interactive, 45-minute behind-the-scenes adventure through the enchanted yurts of Christmas Shire, meeting other charming characters as they go.

Guests can expect storytelling, performances and plenty of photo opportunities that will lead to an encounter with Father Christmas, who will gift an ethically sourced present as a reward for rescuing Christmas.

Christmas Shire will be based on the banks of Kings Dock by the Wheel of Liverpool, featuring three Scandinavian-inspired yurts where the adventure will take place. Julia Benfield, director of Sneaky Experience, said: “I can’t wait for our visitors to see the enchanted yurts of Christmas-Shire pitch up along Kings Dock.

Christmas-Shire at Kings Dock will run from Saturday, November 16 to Sunday, December 22, with relaxed sessions and 30-minute weekday toddler sessions also available. You can book your place here.
