The End Of Builder’s Bum? Frenchman Comes Up With Crack Invention
That age-old construction industry problem of the builder’s bum? Well, a French inventor thinks he’s cracked it.
You don’t have to be a builder, of course, to suffer from builder’s bum - that rather embarrassing and eye-ravaging phenomenon when your pants can’t stay wrapped around your bottom as you bend down because of cursed gravity.
It is most commonly found on construction sites, but a new product could wipe out builder’s bum forever.
Adrien Herve-Pellissier has come up with a new boxer short called “Le Sourire du Plombier”, which translates as “the plumber’s smile”, the French term for a builder’s bottom.
The 24-year-old from Rennes has designed a pair of boxers with a 6cm elastic band that keeps bum cracks where they belong: covered up.
“The underwear has a large elastic band on it, you see, so when you squat down we don’t have to see your bum,” he told The Local.
“I’d seen a particularly bad example on the street in Rennes, and my friend who works in construction says he sees it all the time.”
“I’m not changing the world - maybe just a bit. It’s not like I’ve found a cure for Aids - just for the builder’s crack.”
The underwear can be purchased for about £14 from Le Sourire du Plombier website.
