Edinburgh locals say it is the 'end of an era' as a popular fish and chip shop operating in the city for over eight decades has been placed on the market.

The Gorgie Fish Bar, on Gorgie Road, is often awash with football fans on matchday and is a popular spot for locals and school children, but after 80 years the business has been put up for sale.

According to Shepherd Charters Surveyors, the property is available for immediate occupation and currently trades until midnight Sunday-Thursday and 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
