All Ends Well For Dog Rescued by Firefighters From Air Duct in Virginia Home

A dog in West Springfield, Virginia, was rescued by firefighters from an HVAC duct in a home on October 20 and is recovering, after a hole was cut in the ceiling for an escape.

The Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department shared footage of the rescue on their Facebook page. “The crew from Engine 427, West Springfield, responded to a ruff and far-fetched rescue last night. A small dog was trapped in an HVAC duct in a home,” the post said.

Firefighters were able to determine the dog’s location and proceeded to cut a hole in the ceiling to rescue the pup. Firefighter Mark Williams is seen in the footage pulling the dog out of the ceiling and giving the pup back to its owner. As of writing, the post has more than 8,000 views on Facebook.
