England’s football team are heading to Rome for the Euro 2020 quarter-finals this Saturday although fans are warned not to travel to Italy due to Covid restrictions. The Three Lions will be playing against Ukraine at the Stadio Olimpico after beating Germany at Wembley Stadium in London on Tuesday night. Expats living in Italy are likely to be the only English fans allowed in the stadium as the FA will not be selling tickets through the England Supporters Travel Club. Fans wishing to travel to Italy face a lot of travel restrictions including providing proof of a negative Covid test taken 48 hours before travel travelling and filling out a European Union’s passenger locator form. UK travellers must also isolate for five days in Italy… and would therefore miss the match in person. Fans must also quarantine upon returning to England due to Italy currently being on the UK’s amber travel list.
