Prince Charles has unveiled a memorial to police officers killed in the line of duty. He was joined by relatives of fallen officers at the National Memorial Arboretum. Almost 5,000 officers and staff have died on duty including 1,500 according to official figures. PCs Fiona Bone and Nichola Hughes were killed in a gun and grenade attack. Andrew Harper was killed in 2019 after being dragged for more than a mile behind a car as he tried to stop a group of men stealing a quad bike in Berkshire.
