England will look to solidify their standing atop the UEFA Nations League group on Wednesday when they host Denmark.

Gareth Southgate’s men are currently one point ahead of Belgium, with the Danes a further two points back at the halfway stage of the group.

In September, the two sides drew 0-0 in a dull fixture in Copenhagen; with this being the third international game in a little over a week, the hope will be for better fare this time around.

Denmark beat Iceland 3-0 at the weekend, while England came from behind to defeat Belgium.

Denmark had no injury issues after the game against Iceland at the weekend and could name a largely unchanged line-up.

Predicted line-ups

England: Pickford; Dier, Coady, Maguire; Walker, Rice, Phillips, Chilwell; Sancho, Kane, Rashford.

Denmark: Schmeichel; Wass, Kjaer, Christensen, Skov; Delaney, Hojbjerg; Poulsen, Eriksen, Braithwaite; Dolberg.

Odds

England - 3/4

Draw - 3/1

Denmark - 4/1

Prediction

England were unconvincing despite the win against Belgium and Southgate will hope that a full-strength front line might add a little more final-third panache to the performance level. If so, they have the firepower to make it three wins from three games, despite reservations about the overall level of play. England 2-1 Denmark
