The Three Lions are through to their first ever European Championship final and have the chance to taste silverware for the first time since the 1966 World Cup after overcoming Denmark in extra-time in Wednesday night’s semi-final.
The Italians, however, are in town hoping to spoil the party and complete a remarkable transformation under Roberto Mancini after missing out on qualification for the World Cup in Russia only three years ago.
A peak audience of 27.6million people watched England beat Denmark and that figure is expected to be surpassed come tonight.
