England’s third ODI with Sri Lanka takes place this today, with play due to start at 10am BST.

England lead the series 1-0 after victory in a rain-affected second outing, winning by 31 runs via DLS.

Play was delayed by rain as inclement weather continued to wreak havoc on the series.

The first match in Dambulla was washed out after just 15 overs, with the tourists triumphing in the second on Duckworth-Lewis-Stern after more thunderstorms.

The familiar sight of blue ground covers began to be hauled on to the pitch as the teams were warming up in Pallekele and the scheduled toss was duly postponed.
