England Women finally get their shortened summer underway in Derby on Monday with the first of five T20s against West Indies, and all-rounder Nat Sciver says they will not be taking their opponents lightly.

England have not played since being knocked out of the T20 World Cup due to a washed out semi-final against India, who lost the final to Australia.

India and South Africa then cancelled their tours of England due to coronavirus before West Indies stepped in.

“It’s been a long time coming and I can safely say everyone is ready to go,” said Sciver. “We are looking forward to playing cricket.

“You can never take the West Indies lightly, they have people who change the game all the way down the order and once they get a few wickets they squeeze you and make it really difficult. They’re a great opposition and one you definitely can’t take lightly.”
