Yahoo News England World Cup 2018 fixtures on TV: BBC and ITV group stage fixtures
The BBC has confirmed it will be showing England’s opening two World Cup games in Russia this summer.
The clashes against Tunisia and Panama will be broadcast across the BBC network, while ITV will screen the Three Lions’ final Group G game against Belgium.
While ITV will show the opening game between Russia and Saudi Arabia, The BBC will be showing 25 group games from 15-28 June.
The BBC’s head of TV Sport, Philip Bernie, said: "We're delighted with our selection of matches, which sees the BBC bring England's first two games of the competition live to our audiences - as well as their potential quarter final.
"We are also very pleased to be showcasing the skills of the world's best players, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, in five of their group matches.
"The BBC is proud to be offering such an enticing array of games on football's biggest stage, as we look to deliver to audiences unprecedented, extensive access to World Cup content across TV, radio, online and social media."
