Epic scene on Welsh beach as thousands sing national anthem at sunrise
There were stunning scenes in Tenby on Sunday morning as thousands of people gathered to sing the Welsh national anthem ahead of the 2024 Ironman Wales event.
The famous challenge involves a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26.2 mile run, where participants have a maximum of 17 hours to complete the race, as well as specific cut-off times for each part of the event.
Taking place in the iconic setting of Tenby and its surrounding areas, Ironman Wales is recognised as one of the most difficult courses across the world, due to Pembrokeshire's hilly landscape.

As is tradition, all those in attendance sing Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau before the 2,800 athletes take to the water at North Beach in the seaside town.
Thousands of spectators gathered ahead of the 7.30am start, with the likes of rugby legend Shane Williams among those competing in this year's edition.
2024's rendition of the national anthem is arguably the best yet, with a truly spine-tingling harmony accompanied by fireworks, making for wonderful viewing.
