Chelsea made it two wins from two under Maurizio Sarri as they defeated Arsenal 3-2 at Stamford Bridge to top the table.

The Gunners, who wasted two clear-cut chances in the match, came back from 2-0 down to level the game before Marcos Alonso scored the winning goal in the 81st minute.

Tottenham moved to put a difficult week behind them with a 3-1 victory over Fulham at Wembley Stadium .

After announcing that the opening of their new stadium would be delayed , Mauricio Pochettino’s side reminded their critics how much they feel at home under the Arch – with Harry Kane scoring his first ever Premier League goal in the month of August .

Across London it was another tough day at the office for new West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini, with the Hammers losing 2-1 to Bournemouth .

Elsewhere, 10-man Leicester defeated Wolves 2-0 , while Everton won 2-1 at home to Southampton .

In the weekend’s opening game, Cardiff City and Newcastle United picked up their first points of the campaign – but the Magpies should have snatched all three, with Kenedy missing a stoppage-time penalty.

The weekend finishes with three matches on Sunday, with Burnley vs Watford, Manchester City vs Huddersfield, Brighton vs Manchester United taking place on Sunday, before Crystal Palace vs Liverpool on Monday night.

Here’s how the Premier League table looks as things stand…
