EPL Table: Premier League standings after 34 matches

Chelsea re-established their seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League table thanks to Tuesday's 4-2 win over Southampton.

Eden Hazard opened the scoring with just five minutes on the clock, only for former Blue Oriol Romeu to equalise as the visitors enjoyed a period of dominance.

Saints were soon put to bed, however, as Gary Cahill headed home minutes before half-time and Diego Costa ended his five-game goal drought with two strikes.

All eyes now on Tottenham, who travel to in-form Crystal Palace on Wednesday knowing they must match the result to keep their faint title hopes alive.

Talking of Palace, Sunday's surprise 2-1 away win at Liverpool has blown open the race for the top four with Christian Benteke's two goals against his former club leaving the Reds in danger of missing out on the Champions League.

Liverpool's loss will be a boost to Arsenal, who still harbour hopes of another top-four finish as they host champions Leicester on Wednesday night.

And there's more drama at the top of the table on Thursday night as fierce rivals Manchester City and Manchester United - fourth and fifth in the table - face off at the Etihad in what could prove to be a straight shootout for Champions League football.
