Taylor Swift fans were able to get their hands on tickets to the Era's Tour for the now sold out gig at Edinburgh Murrayfield.

Hundreds of tickets were secured on Friday afternoon to see the Love Story singer from June 7 to June 9. Extra tickets went on sale at 4pm on May 24.

It comes after a bid to increase Murrayfield's capacity from 67,130 to 72,990 was approved by Edinburgh's licensing board.

Many Swifties were invited to take part in the ticket sale on Friday after being taken off the waitlist. A selection of those who registered for the general sale before 11.59pm on July 14, 2023, received a unique code which allowed fans to have a chance to get their hands on one of the sought after tickets.

As a result, hundreds of registered fans were alerted of the ticket drop on Friday and were invited to secure a ticket of their own. It's understood that the seats on sale were "restricted view".

Many Swifties were quick to express their excitement and took to social media to announce that they would be attending one of the sold-out Murrayfield shows.

One fan wrote on TikTok: "Ticketmaster took me off the waitlist. I got my code nine months later but Edinburgh night two I am coming for you."

Another said: "I just got Edinburgh tickets!! I am going to the Eras tour after all".

Another fan wrote: "Guys I got Eras tour VIP standing tickets for face value two weeks before the concert. Anything is possible if you believe and manifest. See you night two at Edinburgh Miss Swift."

Taylor Swift is set to break the record for Scotland's biggest-selling stadium show when she takes to the stage at Edinburgh's Murrayfield later this year.

The pop superstar - who has charged fans up to £660 to attend the hotly anticipated 'Eras Tour' - will dazzle an even bigger crowd than her ex Harry Styles, who broke the record for the country's biggest stadium show when he played to just under 70,000 at Murrayfield last summer.

Edinburgh Council granted organisers permission to increase the stadium's capacity from 67,130 to 72,990. Swift will play sell-out shows in the capital on June 7th, 8th and 9th as part of her world tour which kicked off last March.
