According to a release, Sheriff John Cortelyou said a deputy conducted a traffic stop on an “erratic driver” early Monday morning. When the deputy ran the license plate, it reportedly didn’t come back to the truck he had stopped. The driver, Casey Blalock, 61 of Scroggins, was also found to have two active warrants.

“Deputy Swann asked Blalock if he had anything in his pockets he needed to know about. Blalock answered that he did not, but he told the deputy where to find a bag of methamphetamine,” said Cortelyou.

The bag reportedly weighed 4.6 grams and was taken as evidence.

Blalock was arrested on possession of a controlled substance and the two warrants.
